Speech Production Disorders:

  • Articulation: Difficulty producing a few sounds with correct lip or tongue placement.

  • Phonological: Maintenance of phonological processes past an appropriate age.

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech: impairment of the brains ability to program and execute the tongue, jaw, and lip movements necessary to produce speech.

  • Voice Impairment: impaired vocal quality.

  • Stuttering: producing verbal communication with atypical fluency.

  • Dysarthria: impaired movement of the muscles necessary to produce speech.
